Premium vs. Luxury: What’s Actually Different
LCH leather seat covers come in two tiers — Premium and Luxury. The distinction comes down to one thing: where full-grain leather is used.
Premium — Smart Coverage Where It Counts
The Premium tier uses a 70/30 blend of full-grain leather and automotive-grade synthetic leather. Full-grain leather covers every surface that contacts your body — the seat cushion, seat back, and bolsters. Synthetic leather covers the sides, backs, and headrests — areas you don’t sit against.
The practical result: you feel full-grain leather every time you get in and out of the truck. The synthetic panels are virtually indistinguishable from the leather panels by sight. Premium starts at $890.
Luxury — Full-Grain Throughout
The Luxury tier uses full-grain automotive-grade leather on every panel — contact surfaces, sides, backs, headrests. Luxury also unlocks Gray, Dark Brown, and the 40th Anniversary combination. Luxury starts at $1,090.
Which One Should You Choose?
If your primary goal is feel and durability at the most efficient price point, Premium is the right choice — the materials on contact surfaces are identical to Luxury. If you want complete full-grain coverage or need a Luxury-exclusive color, step up to Luxury. The additional cost reflects genuine material coverage, not branding.

Choosing Your Color
Tan and Black are available in both tiers across all series. Gray, Dark Brown, and the 40th Anniversary combo are Luxury-only.
- Tan — Most popular. Closely matches Toyota’s factory beige/ivory interior.
- Black — Most practical for heavy use; conceals dirt and wear best.
- Dark Brown — Warmer, more upscale feel.
- Gray — Modern neutral that pairs cleanly with most exterior colors.
- 40th Anniversary Combo — Two-tone referencing the factory special edition. Best for restoration builds.

Stitching Color
- Match the leather — Most factory-correct look. Best for restorations or clean interiors.
- Contrast the leather — Common combos: Tan + Black or Dark Brown stitching; Black + Tan or Gold stitching.
Standard vs. Perforated Leather
Perforated leather is available on all colors and both tiers. Two main reasons buyers choose it:
- Ventilated seats — If your 100 or 200 Series has factory ventilated seats, perforated leather allows airflow through the cover.
- Aesthetics — Gives the interior a slightly more modern, sport-trim appearance.
If your truck doesn’t have ventilated seats and you’re going for a stock or restoration look, standard leather is the better choice.
1 Row, 2 Row, or 3 Row?
LCH kits are sold by row. You can order as many or as few rows as you need.
| Kit | Covers | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Row | Driver + front passenger | Drivers who rarely use rear seating |
| 2 Row | Front + middle row | Daily drivers, families with kids |
| 3 Row | Front + middle + rear (full interior) | Full refresh, overlanders, restorations |
Row kits can be added later — LCH can match the original color and stitching if you add rows down the road.

Series-Specific Notes
80 Series (1990–1997) — FJ80, FZJ80, HDJ80, LX450
The 80 Series is the most popular LCH kit. No factory ventilated seats — perforated leather is aesthetic only. LCH kits replicate the factory pleated profile with series-specific panel cuts.
100 Series (1998–2007) — UZJ100, HDJ100, LX470
Came with a premium factory interior. If your 100 Series or LX470 has factory ventilated seats, perforated leather is recommended.
200 Series (2008–2021) — URJ200, VDJ200, LX570
Wider bolster profile — LCH kits are cut to match exactly. Most likely to have factory ventilated seats; check before ordering if airflow matters.
